He designs, hand tools and stitches his famous saddles and other leather gear at his small shop in the Carmel Valley. Known for high quality and superb craftsmanship, Mattson saddles have been featured all around the world.
"I guess I'm a link to Carmel Valley's ranching past," says Bob, who for 16 years has made, repaired, and sold tack in his California saddlery, where today he diligently repairs and replenishes saddles from all over the central coast.
